American actor and producer Alec Baldwin and his brother Stephen Baldwin were involved in a car accident in the Hamptons on Monday, October 13, 2025. Their black Range Rover reportedly crashed into a tree after an unexpected road incident involving a large garbage truck.
According to statements from Baldwin, the accident occurred when the truck abruptly entered their lane, forcing him to swerve to avoid a collision. The quick maneuver caused their vehicle to hit a tree by the roadside. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported, and both brothers walked away unharmed.
Local police and emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the crash. The damaged Range Rover, which Baldwin revealed belonged to his wife Hilaria Baldwin, was later towed away for inspection.
In a short video message posted online, Baldwin assured fans that he and Stephen were doing well, thanking the responding officers and emergency teams for their assistance. He described the incident as “frightening but humbling,” expressing gratitude that no one else was injured.
“We were lucky. The truck cut right in front of us, and there was no other choice but to swerve. I’m just thankful everyone is safe,” Baldwin said.
Despite the shock, the actor appeared in good spirits, joking that his wife might not forgive him for damaging her car. Baldwin also shared plans to travel to California to reunite with his family following the incident.
